Bardstown, the county seat of Nelson County and home of My Old Kentucky Home, is located in the outer Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky. Bardstown Bardstown is located 40 miles south of Louisville, Kentucky; 58 miles west of Lexington, Kentucky; and 152 miles northeast of Nashville, Tennessee. In 1998, Bardstown had a population of 7879.

The Nelson County area is which with tradition and is probably most famous for it's distilleries.  You'll love the step-make in time you'll make while touring downtown Bardstown.
