Transportation

Highways
The Ford and Natcherr Parkways cross in Ohio County affording an excellent ground transportation network that connects with I-65 at Elizabethtown and Bowling Green, I-24 near Paducah, and with the Audubon Parkway near Owensboro.

Trucking
Fourteen common carrier trucking firms provide service to Ohio County, with several maintaining terminals within a short distance.

Rail
The P&L and CSX Railroads provide service to Ohio County, with the P&L main line running through Beaver Dam.

Air
The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport provides regular airline service through seven daily flights The 8,500 foot paved runway is currently being expanded to 10,000 feet. Two fixed base operators serve the airport Larger regional hub airports at Nashville and Louisville are located within two hours. Ohio County has a 3,000 foot paved runway. With a full service fixed based operator.

Riverport
The Owensboro Riverport provides public terminal facilities on the Ohio River. The port offers loading, unloading, warehousing, and rail among its facilities. The Green River forms the western boundary of Ohio County and has several dock facilities available along this waterway. The Green River has a navigable channel from the Ohio River at Evansville, Indiana, to Rochester, Kentucky, just south of Paradise Steam Plant.
